My name is Guillermo Venegas . I am sensei(teacher) of karate shotokan, Karate is my passion I enjoy seeing my students learning new techniques and improving their skills , every 3 months my students have a new examination so I take my time to help them to reach the highest level possible. I have been prectising for 43 years. I visited japan last year and the headquarter Dojo of my organization SKIF for 1 month, I trained with the best instructors of japan of our style. I met many japanese masters of karate in japan so I have a lot more experience than before. I want to have new students from different ages ( 6 to 17) Children program adults from (18 to 70 ) men and women. My facebook is eye of the tiger karate visit us.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We use a strategy called descomposition of the movement, so we see part by part the move and then we see it the whole movement.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes, we have a month schedule . we charge 139 dollars a month and the student can come whenever he /she wants, one or two classes a day.
How did you get started teaching?
I was studying karate in an academy of karate and for my good technique , the owner asked me to do classes this was in the year 1977.
What types of students have you worked with?
well different types of students such as hyperactive, concentration problems, violent students, low tolerance to frustration, very shy students, bullied students .
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have a very shy student that even dont want to enter to the class, I let him stay with his parents sit down on a chair, came 3 times , everytime I talked to him I do it encorouge him to participate with the other students in the games that I normaly do with them, now after 3 classes he is running,doing seat ups, push ups and all the drills we do in our classes.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The teacher must show you certification of the expertise and affilation to a serious organization.
