About

I have been a vocal teacher and piano teacher since I graduated from Boston Conservatory. Also had studies at Berklee and New England Conservatory. I’ve had up to 30 students at a time!As well as accompanying and music director work. I have worked in music therapy hispital settings as well

My students have ranged in age from 4 years old to 94!

I prefer young students or school age, from early learning to vocalist training for stage.

Each of my students has different needs to achieve their goals.I have worked with many who have trouble at first, reading right and left hands together,or having problems with timing from one measure to the next. That's why I treat each student in their own pace. I enjoy teaching very much- I've taught individuals as well as school systems.

I just love to watch them grow to acheive his/ her own success!'

    Frequently asked questions

Each student,of any age, is an individual.I start by having each hand alone move with hands, fingers and body relaxed.Exercising to get the fingers moving without tensions in the wrists and arms.

The after small exercises I teach them to play part of a simple song they know.

If a little more advance I work on sight reading notes on the staff, etc

Theory and ear training helps a student feel more confident befor they takle more and more reading from books and sheet music.

I was a child at Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore.I continued with two lessons a week, theiry/pop&shows, and classical sight reading.

I graduated from Boston Conservatory, studied with Berklee professors in voice and piano. Then went to NYU for music therapy.

I became a solo performer in Boston and traveled to different parts of the country.

I also performed in plays and was music director for theater groups.
