I teach beginning piano and voice lessons, with a focus on having fun while building a strong foundation of musicianship. In our lessons, we will learn the basics of music theory, notation, and rhythm, and then apply it to the keyboard or the voice. As we progress, you will learn technique and musicality to compliment your musicianship. I look forward to embarking on a musical journey together!
My favorite thing about teaching is finding what works for each individual student. I love to help students solve the puzzle to unlock their learning, so that they can make progress and have the most rewarding experience possible.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree in Music, and 10+ years of experience teaching beginning students.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My rate is $30/half hour, $60/hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching piano lessons when I was a piano student myself. My piano teacher found me a few students, and taught me to teach as part of our lessons as I was finishing high school. Though I went on to study voice in undergrad, I continued teaching piano lessons because I love it so much!
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with mostly beginners or advanced beginners of all ages, from pre-readers to adults.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a teacher whose style works for you, and with whom you share common goals.
