"Virtual" Or "In Studio" Private Piano Or Violin Lesson For Adults and Children Age 4.5 - Older. Small Group Lesson (4 - 6 year old). Beginning-Intemediate-Advanced Levels. Classical - Blend Of Jazz Styles - George Gershwin's Music Works. Weekend Lesson Upon Request

I'm an Artist In Piano + Violin & Instructor. I'm a poetic player with fire. A family noted "Miss Yu is a very gifted teacher who has high standards and is also warm and encouraging"

I created a Teaching Method - Mental Health For Our Daily Life is to foster the mind to speak with our eyes before fingers come to play. Students and families have found it improving their learning tremendously

I use selective books to take care of fundamentals, theory, technical skills, and broad repertoire pieces for individual's interest

I specialize in solving problems of student has, interpreting musical phrases, enriching tonal dynamics, adding embellishments, and crafting finger touch on keys to create special sounds; cry, laugh and sing in my student's play

I'm strict. Good habit come from discipline and giving an opportunity a try before give up is my philosophy. Learning any instrument needs all that. I dedicate my responsibility as being a teacher is to make sure students go home with something unexpected and something achieved from each lesson

Nothing can be better than teaching. You learn as you teach; you gain knowledge from confronting what you can to make happen during the learning process with students. A joy to be around with varieties of music and students every day.

My two grandchildren have loved playing piano since the 1st lesson with Ms Yu. They practice on their own because her teaching method opens the door right away to fun with the keyboard AND discipline.

My two kids are now 10 and 13 year old and have been taking lessons from Ms Yu since younger. They have vastly different learning styles and quite different degrees of comfort with music starting out, but Ms Yu has genuinely connected with them both. She has helped them to find the joy of music, as well as an astonishing degree of technical competence in sight reading, finger strength, passion across many different musical styles, especially considering that's only a year and half we've practiced with Ms Yu. Her lessons are playful and empowering.

We love having piano lessons with Ms Yu! She is so great at keeping my 7 yr old son focused and engaged, which is a meaningful and essential skill for a young child. And on top of it, he gets to learn playing piano!

Ms Yu provides great piano lesson experience for adults and children! I started by taking my 6 yr old to Ms Yu and then started taking lessons myself (having taken lessons as a child). Professional and knowledge, Ms Yu works well with children and meets them where they are while helping them to progress and improve.
