I have been teaching the Suzuki Method of violin instruction for 30 years. I am a highly trained and skilled violin instructor. I am a graduate of New England Fonservatory. I have 8 units of training from the Suzuki Association of the Americas. I am the director of the Massachusetts Suzuki Festival, an annual event. My focus in teaching violin is technique, tone, and developing a fine ear. Because my students are successful in their accomplishments, they are very happy! Suzuki method starts instruction as young as 3 years old, includes the parent as a practice partner and starts with ear training. Since music is a language, training the ear is vital to success in learning to play. Just as we learn to speak by listening and repeating, we most easily learn to play an instrument through listening, observing and repeating. Lessons are twice a week, one private lesson and one group lesson. My students are happy because they are successful.
