About
My mission is to make music fun and entertaining without skimping on the important foundations that are crucial for long-term success. For students at my academy, practice is not a chore. They love watching their own talent blossom in real-time, and will lose track of time making beautiful music.
I specialize in teaching students of all ages, and have had over 10 years of teaching experience, as well as a Masters degree in Piano Performance. My approach is empathetic, and I work with your individual strengths!
Music should find a place in everyones life, and I love seeing my students learn and appreciate music in our lessons. Not only do they grow in skill, they often discover things about themselves they never knew; determination, will power, confidence, and discipline. They will grow alongside with their musical journey

How did you get started teaching?
I've been playing piano since the age of 5 and loved it ever since. I had great teachers that ignited my passion and helped me discover my talent, and now I feel like its my obligation to pay that forward to my future students!
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students of all ages, and am particularly experienced with young children. I can teach all genre's (but specialize in classical), and have taught beginners to advanced students!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you find a teacher that works with the goals of the student. They shouldn't skimp on fundamentals, such as proper technique, theory, and musicianship, but the goal is to get students passionate about learning, practicing and playing music!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Learning Piano is hard work, but it's also enjoyable and extremely rewarding. One question that should be asked is, "Am I willing to put in the work to improve?", or "Do I have TIME to put in the work to improve?". More often than not, I have had students who have been overwhelmed by too many extracurricular activies, and are unable to practice, despite their passion for music. This overwhelmed feeling can lead to disdain towards their instrument!
