About
I believe that all students can learn on a meaningful level. My job is to unpack the skills so that we can help you meet your goals.
I got my Bachelor's in performance from New England Conservatory and my Master's in Music Ed with a focus on Strings from The Boston Conservatory.
My teaching philosophy is heavily influenced by Suzuki method which I have been using since 1999.
I love getting folks started with great technique and helping transfer students continue to build on their strengths. Since everyone learns differently, I feel that teaching helps me continue to grow. It is wonderful to share music everyday!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to find out where they are musically and what their goals are. Some students need help getting the right instrument and shoulder rest for them. My priority is the sound and set up as these are the foundation for meeting most playing goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I trained on my instrument at New England Conservatory earning a Bachelor's in Music performance. While getting my Master's of Music Education, I began Suzuki Violin Teacher Training and studies in Kodály method. These methods inform my teaching with their sequencial, authentic approaches which I have found help in teaching students of all ages and skill levels.
