About
I have been playing drums for decades. I been in award-winnning drumlines, jazz bands, marching bands, pops orchestras. I performed live on stage and in clubs for many years.
I have had several private students over the years and am interested in teaching more. Looking to teach young drummers roughly 4th grade through high school. Beginners especially welcome.
Initial focus would be on a practice pad, learning technique and rudiments. This would progress towards rhythm and meter, making use of a metronome. And later, the student would progress to a full kit to begin learning limb independence and how rudiments translate into music across the instrument.
