Jonathan's Music Lessons

Jon truly customizes his lessons to the strengths and growing edges of each individual student. I’ve seen this on a weekly basis for now eight years, as my twins started lessons with Jon on the same day, and have continued weekly since then. There is consistency in his discipline and general methodology, which my children have found very helpful. Jon combines that with an awareness of their different learning styles, how they are motivated, and encourages each to further their learning In the way that works best for each of them. He balances an easy-going manner with clear focus and directions, both of which contribute to effective progression through the lessons and through the years. Both of my boys continue to build skills and confidence, and they both very much enjoy playing piano, and one of them now the guitar as well. They also very much enjoy working shoulder to shoulder with Jon… Despite the “workout” he gives them, there are plenty of smiles as well.

Jon is a wonderful piano instructor. He really knows how to relate to kids. Hes such an encouraging teacher, and pushes my son beyond what he thinks he can do every time. We love him!
