About
I enjoy giving lessons online and locally in students' homes. I draw on many years of training, including a bachelors degree in Music from Ithaca College (1996). I have sang professionally as a soloist in Catholic Churches for many years and have taught piano and voice lessons since 2007. I also teach chorus at St. Thomas Aquinas school in Warren, MA. I love helping students of all ages achieve their goals.
Whether someone is just pursuing a hobby with their instrument, on track to pursue a music program in college, or wanting to perform at the local level I have been able to assist students in reaching these goals over the years.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to see what goals an individual has and develop a plan targeted at building the skills required to work towards the goal.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree in music from Ithaca College with a vocal concentration. I also took piano lessons for 12 years (3 during my college years) and have been an accompanist from time to time for various events.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $25 for a 30 minute lesson.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching to supplement my income as a Social Worker in 2007. Having developed skills as a musician can be a great way to ensure a secondary income is always possible.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with kids from 5 years up to adults in their senior years. I work with beginner to intermediate students on piano and beginner to advanced on voice.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Any student should feel comfortable with their teacher to be able to ask questions and learn in a fun and challenging way.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What is it you want to do with your music studies? If you are just experimenting with your instrument, what really gets you excited about it, or is it that you most enjoy?
