About this pro

There is a real joy in sharing this most inherent skill, seeing others smile because it is something they’ve prepared with Love for another or even themselves.  Having been cooking for 35 plus years, I have taken the time to hone my skills through self study and the commitment to consistent practice, which has evolved into a small business, “Unforgettable Taste Cakes & Etc.”

I am passionate about any number of students and will share just as intently with one as I will with a group of four or more. My students can count on me to be prompt and hands on from beginning to the end.  My commitment to such an obligation, isn’t to become famous for what I do naturally, but to make certain that I leave a deposit in the earth, having bettered someone’s life so that they too may share the same passion with another.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I am consistent with the following process:

-Consult with them via telephone or FaceTime to assess their level of comprehension as it pertains to cooking or baking.

-Discuss their intention. Is this for a one time dinner for an occasion or will they be scheduling additional sessions, if my renderings are applicable to their preference.

-What do they want to prepare? Single item or a meal?

-Suggested amount of time needed with a grace of 30 minutes. Inform them that I schedule for 2 hour sessions for individuals and 3 hours plus for groups. An additional 15 mins/Person is added for groups of 4 or greater.

-Payment is required in full when scheduling via cc or dc. Tips are encouraged, if the client has enjoyed their session, but not required. Specifications of refund policy and etc are discussed and given to the client in writing.

-Scheduling and we’re off to the races of delicious food/baking preparation.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am sixth generation self taught. However, I have honed my skills by participating in multiple cooking classes through the JC Culinary School and the multiple restraurants schools I had to attend during my tenure of working in the restaurant business. Such as Olive , Homes Diner, Macaroni Grill, and etc.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

$60/hour. Two hour minimum. Additional 15 mins/ student for groups of 4+.   30 min. Grace. Students can always request more time for additional cost.

How did you get started teaching?

I began teaching when coworkers and friends requested that I do a catering cooking party many years ago for the adults and thereafter the children. It has blossomed from there.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with all types of students. From toddlers to adults, as well as children and adults with special needs. However, I request that the care giver and parents are available for the session.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I am very fond of a catering event I was privileged to serve over the holidays. It was for a group of people who were working through several items of which would alter their lives. Yet they laughed coooked and enjoyed the experience and shared with each other.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Anyone looking to hire a teacher or instructor should ask at least the following three questions.:  -Will you have the basic items I will need to prepare the mean. 2. Do you provide the essential items to accomplish what I’ve requested to lead to prepare. 3. Are you available for consistent scheduling...

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Anything that comes to mind so that they’re comfort ability is arrest during the session(s)
