Heather is an amazing teacher. She encourages and challenges me as a student, and is incredibly patient. I would recommend Heather to anyone wanting to learn strings or looking to improve their skills.

I studied with Heather from 7th grade until I graduated from high school. She is an excellent and experienced teacher, knowing how to work with all levels, and ages, having had students from 7 years of age to 60+ years of age. While I studied with her, she taught me all of the necessary fudnemantal tecnhniques that are often overlooked by many teachers of this craft, and instilled in me the knowledge that I needed to progress well with the violin. I highly recommend Heather. Her rates are also very reasonable for one with as much experience and expertise as herself.

Lessons are always challenging and fun. Mrs Heather is an awesome teacher who pushes me to do my best, but also knows how to make difficult etudes fun. She is really flexible about lesson times, which is great for those of us with busy schedules. I have been studying with her for about nine years and I have learned so much. Added bonus- she also has a fabulous box of stickers!!

Mrs. Heather Austin-Stone is an amazing violin teacher! She provides a perfect blend of encouragement and correction. I have been taking lessons for two years and have advanced a lot. I would definitely recommend her to anyone just starting out or to an experienced player.

I have taken lessons from Heather for almost 10 years. I am an adult amateur chamber music player and Heather has been a wonderful help in guiding me through what seems to me to be unfathomable weeds of rhythms, fingerings and bowings of many quartets, trios, etc. I would never have been able to participate in the many string camps without her! She knows her stuff! And the lessons are fun!
