DYNAMIC DANCE DIRECTIONS
About
I teach a wide range of techniques and genres in dance. My choreography caters to the strengths of my dancers and I am able to set work around them. I teach at top dance and ballet schools in the DMV area and look forward to doing more private work with a variety of dancers of any age.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
If the student has a background in dance, I give a class in the style of dance they are interested, in order to test and see where their strengths and weaknesses lie. At that point, I decide what is necessary for me to do to try to develop their foundation and give them the tools to get what they need and want out of the private lessons.
In terms of choreography, I would also give a class to see the dancers technique and see how the dancer improvs. That way I can determine how he or she responds naturally. I use those two factors amongst others to create a work best suites for them.
If the person or aspirinf dancer doesn't have much of a background in dance I work hard to lay out the fundamentals to provide a strong foundation my client to start from.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied classical ballet, modern, jazz and tap for 25 years. I have taught for 10 years at prestigious top schools in the area. I attended University of North Carolina school of the Arts as a contemporary major.
