Jesse Feinberg, Piano Teacher
About
I have developed an advanced technique to help students master improvisation, which includes the presentation of Compositional Improvisation templates developed by Gregory Hall, and various other jazz improvisation approaches. I am continuing to release recorded original compositions.
I have focused on classical and jazz piano for 40 years and competed and won many competitions, including the National Guild of Music school’s competition. I studied at many schools and colleges, including Juillard, Mannes School of Jazz, and the University of Maine, where I hold a Bachelors’ Degree in Jazz and Contemporary Music — Composition, Performance, and Music Education.
I currently teach piano lessons (in) Maine at the Portland Conservatory of Music, and my own music studio.
I enjoy guiding students towards greater understanding of music concepts and meaning for various musical directions one might pursue. Its exciting when a student makes a breakthrough or epiphany with their process of gaining musical capability and proficiency on the way to excellence if they desire a certain ability level with their musical endeavors!
