Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first thing I do with a new student is to get to know them a little better. This helps with the students nervousness and helps me get to know them. I then discuss how I teach my lessons and what I need in return from the student regarding practicing. I try to find out how much musical knowledge they may already have so I can pick out the correct books for them to get started. I usually bring a few along with me. Each lesson is different depending on the student.
