About

Please visit my website to learn all about my violin studio. I have been teaching violin and chamber music full time for over 20 years, and am conservatory trained. Also, I am a fully trained physician, and practiced medicine for over 20 years. I believe and have been told that this double degree training has strengthened and enhanced my violin teaching skills.

Website: www.sharonrothstein.com

I offer 60 minute lessons for $80 per lesson, 45 minute lessons for $60 per lesson, and 30 minute lessons for $40 per lesson.

I offer in person lessons in my studio as well as lessons online. I do not travel to the homes of my students.

As far as scheduling is concerned, I teach 7 days per week, and would be happy to figure out lesson times and days which work for both of us as we are getting started.

I love getting to know new students so that I can help them to be the best musicians they can become. I hope to share with them my love and passion for the violin and chamber music, and hope that they will eventually feel the same way that I do about the violin and music making with others.

Miss Sharon is a patient, kind, caring, very intelligent (she’s happens to be a doctor), and meticulous teacher. Her dedication and advocacy toward the student is unwavering. She only accepts the most devoted students into her studio.

I have been studying with Sharon Rothstein for 10 years now, and I admire the obvious attention and care she puts into each of her young students lessons/recitals/rehearsals, making sure that they are as successful and prepared as they can be in their violin endeavors. I have enjoyed my years studying with her, and it is very apparent that I have grown tremendously as a violin player, having been able to improve my skills through all of the amazing opportunities (masterclasses, rehearsals and recitals with professional musicians, etc.) her non-profit, CCMEF, helps provide for us.

I am 15 years old and I was involved in Ms. Sharons studio for 2.5 years. I appreciate Ms. Sharon Rothstein enthusiasm for teaching and the amount of dedication she has toward this art. She makes sure that we play at our best at all times and this helped me become first chair of my orchestra. The monthly recitals that she conducts helped me become more confident during auditions and concerts. I felt that this program helped me become a better, more confident player and it gave me a better appreciation for violin. From intonation to rhythm, she doesnt let us go until we get it right. She has a saying, dont practice till you get it right, practice until you cant get it wrong. I thank my parents everyday for putting my in these lessons.
