About
am the professional violinist with the Doctorate degree in Violin and Chamber Music performance. I have an extensive 10+ years experience of teaching violin and viola to students of different age and level.
I am presently teach at the Flint Institute of Music and the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp and actively perform as the member of Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, Midland, West Michigan and Traverse Symphony orchestras, as well as in several chamber groups.
I welcome youth and adult students (generally 4 to 35 years old) with the serious intentions to learn the instrument to join my private studio!! I will help you to enjoy music just as much as I do. I teach in my studio in East Lansing, and offer opportunities for concert performances and competitions for my students.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first lesson is a free trial, where we get to know each other and talk about your goals that you would like to echieve through our lessons. If you decide to apply for the lessons plan I describe you the books and repertoire that we will need in our work. If you don't already have an instrument I will help you to find one that you can rent or buy. We will arrange the schedule and get the music learning going!

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you are working with the professional musician, who understand the specifics of violin playing and can perform the instrument. It is very important, and especially for beginners to start learning good habits and basic skills from the very beginning.
