    Frequently asked questions

We do all enrollment per email and phone.  Our students will have their books and get started at their first lesson.  We keep in contact with parents to check-in on new student progress and any questions.  Parents and students are encouraged to contact our instructor 24/7 with any questions.  All students, under age of 16, will receive a weekly assignment sheet giving details from teacher to parent on child's weekly lesson.  Having parent + teacher + student = success!

We have been teaching private music lessons since 1983.  We have also taught private lessons at 20+ schools in Western Michigan.  We have taught thousands and take great pride in creating successful students who love playing music and will pass the love onto the next generation.  We find that our parents are very happy and pleased with their children's results and dedication.

We have a monthly tuition.  30, 45 and 60 minute lessons available.  Freebies are included.  Please contact us for pricing.

College professors asked us to teach at local schools and music stores.  We found that we enjoyed teching music and loved people.  We have been honored to teach thousands since 1983.

We have taught age 2 to 88 year olds.  We have taught extremely high honor students to students with disablities.  We believe that music is for everyone no matter what your learning curve is.  All are welcomed!  We are patient, loving and kind.

We recently performed our annual Christmas concert where each student had 2 minutes to perform solos and had extra time to invite family members to perform along with them in an ensemble.  All kids who attended the event, including our students, were given a raffle ticket where we had 8 raffle drawings inbetween our show.  At the end, Santa made a surprise visit and was available for photos and to say hi to the kids.  We even had an alumni student, over 60 years old, open our show for us (he has recently returned to college to pursue music).  Students were given hand written note cards by our owner|instructor and a goodie bag for performing. Lots of fun and memories were created.

My advice is to not to go with the cheapest teacher.  Look for quality and experience and a well organized and gifted teacher. Your music teacher will be shaping your love of music.

We would suggest that you know the commitment of practicing and expectations before getting involved in music lessons.  Know that learning an instrument will take patience and time.  However, at Ada Piano Academy, we offer 24/7 assistance, free of charge, during the week as many times as you need us.  We can help you get out of all dilemas with practicing at home, etc.  That is where our years of experience teaching thousands of students comes in.
