I am blessed to participate in the growth and development of children from the womb to high school graduation and beyond! I enjoy planting a musical seed within each person. Along with parents and our studio family, we nurture the growth of that musical sprout and enjoy the student blossom into a noble human being. Being a "gardener" in a student's life, assisting parents and family to "nurture by love", and seeing the student's character grow so that they lovingly share with their world the beauty of life and in their way begin to make our world a better place to live -- this brings me incredible joy and satisfaction!
I really enjoyed the recitals and the gold cups. It was always nice to be rewarded for hard work! Overall, I know that the Suzuki method really helped me advance quickly because I was always more advanced than my friends taking other lessons. Knowing that I was actually good at something was the biggest motivation. I loved the Suzuki music! I still go through the last few books when I have the chance. I think the structure of the program and variety in music was excellent. Through high school, I was self motivated because I was able to pick pieces I wanted to play based on my skills I had learned in the Suzuki program. I was able to learn Chopin, my favorite composer of all time. :) I also was able to compete in piano competitions and one concerto competition for the GR Youth Symphony. I know for a fact that I wouldn't have been able to get to that level without the proper training that I received with the Suzuki program. Amy Buth, medical student, neuro surgeon
