This is from my 11-year old daughter who she has taught for years, "Ms. Carrie is a great teacher because she teaches through listening and playing. That is good for me because I have a trained ear to do that. Also, we can relate to each other very well because we are similar. Finally, she is always thinking of me, asking me how I am and also teaching on my level, so it's not too hard for me. She is a GREAT teacher!!"
We really enjoy working with our teacher, Carrie. She is very calming and supportive for our young son who takes lessons. She works with him on fundamentals but also lets him learn pop culture songs which increases his interest in learning. We have had a wonderful experience.
I really like the variety of instructor skill sets that are available (I have three kids doing lesson all with slightly different interests - vocal, piano, and a little ukulele). We moved here from out of state last summer and my kids were already taking lessons there and it's been a pretty seamless transition given that we moved cross country and our instructor (Miss Carrie) was able to pick up where my kids left off (using some of the same books) and quickly recognized each of my kids personalities and preferences all virtually. So far, I'd give the experience two thumbs up.
Flexibility, skill, and kindness with my daughter's lessons (Ukulele and Voice)
