Baker Voice And Piano Studio
About
I have a great deal of experience working with teenagers to adults. I have coached many singers to prepare them for auditions in theater, but also teach general vocal technique and both beginning and advanced vocal skills. My knowledge of repertoire is extensive.
In addition to teaching music K-12, I taught conducting and voice at Aquinas College, and directed three vocal ensembles. In the late 1980s, I competed in a state-wide university based vocal competition, and placed first in the adult category.
I have many years of experience in church music ministry as well, and developed worship teams in addition to directing traditional choirs.
i love teaching both piano and voice! I was a music educator for many years, and continue to serve as the assistant director of the Grand Rapids Women’s Chorus in addition to my private teaching. I love the individual personalities of my students, and enjoy working with all of them. Each singer is unique and deserves an individualized approach!
