I have a great deal of experience working with teenagers to adults. I have coached many singers to prepare them for auditions in theater, but also teach general vocal technique and both beginning and advanced vocal skills. My knowledge of repertoire is extensive. In addition to teaching music K-12, I taught conducting and voice at Aquinas College, and directed three vocal ensembles. In the late 1980s, I competed in a state-wide university based vocal competition, and placed first in the adult category. I have many years of experience in church music ministry as well, and developed worship teams in addition to directing traditional choirs....

Michael A. says, "In 2019 and 2010 I was directing a production of Gilbert and Sullivan's "Mikado". I had looked everywhere for an accompanist, short of accompanying the production myself as well as directing, and I was not convinced that I could do both. I'm not even sure now how we exactly came into contact with each other, but Sainz and I did make a connection, and within two weeks of the performance, she not only accompanied rehearsals remaining, including the performances with concert skill in October of 2009 at a major venue in Lafayette - The historic Long Center Theater, but also undertook accompanying the production once again in January 2010 after the cast, comprised of individuals from Bloomington, Indiana to Lafayette, Indiana, desired to perform it again at a High School in Lafayette, Indiana. I have absolute faith that anyone who works with Susan at StudioSainz will have the best results in learning to play, as well as the skill to perform at any level their determination drives them to achieve. Higher than 10 stars as I would consider this fine teacher and accompanist." Read more

Zach B. says, "As an instructor, Chris is very knowledgeable when it comes to technique and theory. He is exceptional at explaining the why's and the how's thoroughly, and his patience for beginners is unmatched. Specifically, I have learned many vocal warmups and exercises over the past few years that have noticeably expanded my range and helped to mitigate vocal strain. Notes I thought were impossible to conquer have been reached through his encouragement and persistence to push forward through continued practice. In addition to vocals, I've become more dexterous on the guitar, learning scales and warmups I'd previously been unfamiliar with, as well as increasing my speed and precision. This is in large part to his insistence on familiarizing myself with and solely practicing to a click track, which helps speed up time in the studio, thereby saving my engineer time and myself money. If you're willing to practice and dedicate yourself to becoming a better musician, Chris will go at pace your comfortable with, while at the same time, pushing you further and further toward your goals." 2021 B.S. graduate with 30 years background in singing/voice, trained in opera (bel canto), musical theater/Broadway, cabaret, and jazz. Have taught students age 15-up the basics from proper breathing techniques to tonality, and chest belt to vocal expression, for personal and the stage. What students taught me about my style is my flexibility and openness. I have an ear for music and tone. Which helps immensely when trying to dig deep to get that emotion into what you're singing. I love the art and technique of finding your square voice, and determining range. Then expanding from there. To where it can take you to the next level.

If you are curious about learning to use your voice as a form of expression, release, or art, or you love singing but want to become more confident while singing along to the songs you love, alone or in front of others, Ryan can help you shine! He disarms the vulnerability and fear that stops many people who desire to sing from taking the next step forward. He makes singing fun, playful, and inviting. He is patient and kind. He offers excellent notes both recorded and written to help you practice through the week what you've learned through the week. His prices are fair, and he is an incredibly talented singer. What are you waiting for?! Treat yourself today! Feel the power and thrill that you are capable of! Sing your heart out and take up space! Let Ryan help you find your voice and fine tune it to something you love for yourself and to share with others.

We have been with Triumph Music a little over 2 years and have had the best experience imaginable. We have had my daughter taking piano and drums lessons in that time and she has excelled more than we could have imagined, I have also been taking guitar lessons with James and have had a great experience. My daughter has also been playing in one of the bands that the director James Hughes has put together, they have played numerous great gigs in that time and absolutely loves it. I cannot say enough about the staff that James has put together to ensure the best direction for their students. They are very compassionate about the music they teach the students. James does an excellent job and goes above and beyond to ensure his staff and the students excel. I recommend Triumph to anyone wanting to learn a musical talent.
