I have 20 plus years of experience teaching singing. I’m a professional singer, songwriter and jungle singer. I’ve had students make it through the audition process and appear on the Voice and American idol. I am trained in classical technique. I’m a rock and jazz singer by trade. I treat ever student as an individual and plan each lesson based on your skill and level of ability. I’m sensitive to the obstacles that people can face when they decide to start singing and I very much enjoy helping students unlock the power of their voice!

Caledonia Dance & Music Center, based in Caledonia, Michigan, has been fostering creativity and boosting self-confidence in children for over 17 years. The Center offers a broad spectrum of dance lessons including pointe, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop and even adult ballroom dance classes. Not limited to dance, the center also provides music lessons, starting from as young as 18 months. I have a great deal of experience working with teenagers to adults. I have coached many singers to prepare them for auditions in theater, but also teach general vocal technique and both beginning and advanced vocal skills. My knowledge of repertoire is extensive. In addition to teaching music K-12, I taught conducting and voice at Aquinas College, and directed three vocal ensembles. In the late 1980s, I competed in a state-wide university based vocal competition, and placed first in the adult category. I have many years of experience in church music ministry as well, and developed worship teams in addition to directing traditional choirs....

For over 20 years, Piano in Action has brought music to life for children and adults. Right from the first lesson, young students learn how to create music and continue building on that foundation to eventually write their own compositions. This approach helps students understand how music can be an integral part of their life. A variety of games are used to make it fun to learn. Students are recorded when they achieve certain goals and these recordings become an ongoing journal of their progress. Students learn, grow, and develop their musical talents in a supportive and fun-filled atmosphere.
