How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching when my children were very young and I was looking for an opportunity to work from home. I had studied music and played piano since a young age so it made sense for me to take on a few students and I found that I had a natural gift for teaching so I picked up my studies where I had left off in college and worked with a teacher who was a Master Pedagogue. She gave me the tools I needed to provide the highest quality lessons for my students and from there I continued my studies with the Royal Conservatory of Music. My students are now highly skilled with a solid foundation of technique and musicianship and are also working their way through the Royal Conservatory of Music with scores in the top category of First Class Honors with Distinction. I am now the owner and director of a Music Lesson Studio in Spring Lake which offers lessons in every instrument with 10 highly qualified teachers. All of the teachers I hire are expected to provide the same level of expertise, no matter what their instrument.
