About
I love to help my students reach their goals through teaching martial arts, whether that may be achieving rank, physical fitness, the ability for self-defense, or developing leadership skills and confidence.
I have been training in Songahm Taekwondo for 25 years, and teaching for 20 years. I spent the majority of Instructor training in Texas, with a brief time in Arizona, and continued to work for my instructor once I became a certified Instructor. I taught in an ATA school in West Bloomfield before opening a club. Prior to becoming a Taekwondo Instructor, I taught language arts and English for six years and coached boys and girls in basketball and soccer. During my teaching experience, I worked with special education students and integrating them into a regular education classroom. While in college, I was a residential treatment specialist in a group home for teenage girls.

I have worked with students of all ages (4 - 81) and abilities. The ATA has a special abilities section, and provides Taekwondo for everyone.
