Ruth Attarian Classical Piano
About
I have been teaching classical piano since 2006, and have studied piano since age 5. I have studied at Michigan State University with Van Cliburn winner Ralph Votapek, as well as Yong Hi Moon, Pauline Martin, and Stephen Vaglica. I love teaching young and old alike. I tailor the music teaching to fit the student's goals, and make sure music theory and repertoire are both covered.
There is absolute joy in watching a person's talent unfold. It always amazes me!

First there is a conversation to find out a student's musical background and goals. Then I determine what training is immediately needed and recommend music lesson books, technical exercises, and repertoire.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Over 35 years of classical piano studies with concert pianists both at MSU and in the Detroit Metro area.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $30 for an hour lesson in my home.
