What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I find out what level they are at, and what they have been studying. Also what kind of music interests them and how much time they plan to spend playing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bacheolors degree from Oakland University and have been teaching for over 30 years and audio recording and music production for over 20 years.
I have tought at college workshops and judged many competitions, festivals, and battle of the bands as well.
I belong to various music organiztions such as Michigan Music Association, American Guild of Music, National Federation of Music Clubs, ASCAP.

lessons are $35 dollars 1/2 hour
How did you get started teaching?
I was a student assistant at age 16 and slowly started my own teaching studio.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
work hard and be patient, great things happen when you have patience, and have fun playing music!!!
