Mrs. Susan D. Mutter

I have been teaching piano 30 years and have a studio of about 55 students. I teach children and adults, and special needs children as well, with experience teaching 10 autistic children. I teach both traditional methods of piano instruction as well as the Suzuki Method. I also teach French Horn and play professionally with the Michigan Opera Theatre Orchestra, and orchestras for many local pop artist that come to town, like Mannheim Steamroller, Adele, Josh Groban, etc. I have a degree in Music Performance from Indiana University and have performed with the Hong Kong Philharmonic, the Detroit Symphony, the Columbus Symphony, and the Spoleto Orchestra in Italy.

I love teaching, and seeing the tremendous growth that comes with focusing on new goals each year. I have taught several students 15-16 years! Some families have hired me to teach one of their kids, and then sign up another, and another...one family I teach has 5 children, all playing! Over the years, my adult students become my friends, and my students that are children become almost like family. It is very rewarding!
