About this pro

I have been teaching students for over 21 years. I want to use my talent to strengthen other students skills and achieve their goals. I have taught music theory classes and choir in 2 schools. I am currently teaching voice and piano lessons to all ages (beginner to advance). I am the music director at my church and the music director of the children's choir at the Italian culture center. I have sung the national anthem for many sports and special events. I sing and play for weddings and funerals. I have trained my 3 children to sing and play piano. We travel and perform as a family. I have a passion for music and love to work with students who love it too!

When a student learns something new and performs it with joy! I enjoy teaching different songs. Each song has it's own mood and techniques to master. Music is an amazing language to study.

She is extremely knowledgeable and talented. She knows how to build lessons for me as a beginner. And most of all she is kind. I am learning from the best and I feel very fortunate.

Mrs. Guglielmetiti is personable, knowledgeable and helps motivate me to practice and improve. I’m an adult student, but her approach remains encouraging that I can excel in this new skill set. She’s helpful and warm during lessons and is always available to if I have questions during the time in between our meetings. Highly recommend!

  • Simon Kuang

    Very enthusiastic and very patient

She is very encouraging, and I always leave feeling better about my progress. I know exactly what I should practice and she’s made learning piano a lot less confusing. Definitely would recommend her to anyone wishing to learn piano

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I interview them before I take on any new student. I like to know why they are taking lessons and what are their expectations. Once I start with a new student I spend time figuring out where they are at and what they already know musically.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have 4 year degree in classical voice performance. I have had 8 different voice teachers since I was very young. I have taught voice for 19 years. I have had 2 piano teachers and have taught piano for 15 years. I have always sang at different churches and been asked to sing at weddings, funerals and memorials. I have sung the national anthem in many cities for many occasions. I am the church pianist at Great Lakes Bibke church and sing there every week.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

$20 for a 30 minute lesson.

How did you get started teaching?

In college I had to teach private lessons to highschool students my last year for my degree. After I graduated I taught at a school. I taught private lessons, jr high and high school choir.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with students of all ages throughout the years. The neat thing about music lessons is that you can start any time. I believe it's never too late! I believe music can also be a therapy and bring joy to a person's heart.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I recently performed an opera piece at the Italian festival and also directed my childrens choir there. I enjoy teaching to sing in different languages. I can teach students how to sing in French, German, Italian and Latin.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

I have a passion for music and I desire to share that with others who love to learn how to better themselves at music. Music has been my life since I was a little girl. If it wasn't for my parents believing in me and putting me through lessons I wouldn't be where I am today. It takes time and work. You can't become a professional in a couple months. There are important techniques and skills to learn. Over time you can master them if you work hard.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Will they be committed to practicing every week? Piano students must have a piano or key board to practice on at home.
