About this pro

I have been teaching students for 19 years. I want to use my talent to strengthen other students skills and achieve their goals. I have taught music theory classes and choir in 2 schools. I am currently teaching voice and piano lessons to all ages (beginner to advance). I am the music director at my church and the music director of the children's choir at the Italian culture center. I have sung the national anthem for many sports and special events. I sing and play for weddings and funerals. I have trained my 3 children to sing and play piano. We travel and perform as a family. I have a passion for music and love to work with students who love it too!

When a student learns something new and performs it with joy! I enjoy teaching different songs. Each song has it's own mood and techniques to master. Music is an amazing language to study.

I took voice lessons the summer before I left for college where I was pursuing a major in music. Dianna really helped me prepare by pushing me in the right direction vocally. Even almost a decade later, I still use the tools she gave me. She is not only a wonderful teacher but also a wonderful person! I highly reccommend her to anyone looking to learn/advance their musical abilities.

Mrs. Guglielmetti is an amazing voice teacher! I have learned so much from her. She is kind, caring and very passionate about what she does. She is one of the most genuine people I’ve ever met. I would definitely recommend taking any type of lessons from a her. :)

Two of my daughters, ages 10 and 8, have been with Mrs. Guglielmetti for piano lessons for over 2 years. We are so blessed to have her as a teacher, not only because of the quick progress my girls have made musically, but also because Mrs. “G” shows genuine love toward my girls and works with them in unique and creative ways to make learning their instrument interesting, inviting, and fun. Her passion for music is contagious and it is reflective in her students’ efforts and progress. We are very thankful for the impact she is having in our girls’ lives.

She is enthusiastic and clearly has a love for music. She is a talented musician and makes learning fun. My children love taking lessons with her.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I interview them before I take on any new student. I like to know why they are taking lessons and what are their expectations. Once I start with a new student I spend time figuring out where they are at and what they already know musically.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have 4 year degree in classical voice performance. I have had 8 different voice teachers since I was very young. I have taught voice for 19 years. I have had 2 piano teachers and have taught piano for 15 years. I have always sang at different churches and been asked to sing at weddings, funerals and memorials. I have sung the national anthem in many cities for many occasions. I am the church pianist at Great Lakes Bibke church and sing there every week.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

$20 for a 30 minute lesson.

How did you get started teaching?

In college I had to teach private lessons to highschool students my last year for my degree. After I graduated I taught at a school. I taught private lessons, jr high and high school choir.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with students of all ages throughout the years. The neat thing about music lessons is that you can start any time. I believe it's never too late! I believe music can also be a therapy and bring joy to a person's heart.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I recently performed an opera piece at the Italian festival and also directed my childrens choir there. I enjoy teaching to sing in different languages. I can teach students how to sing in French, German, Italian and Latin.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

I have a passion for music and I desire to share that with others who love to learn how to better themselves at music. Music has been my life since I was a little girl. If it wasn't for my parents believing in me and putting me through lessons I wouldn't be where I am today. It takes time and work. You can't become a professional in a couple months. There are important techniques and skills to learn. Over time you can master them if you work hard.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Will they be committed to practicing every week? Piano students must have a piano or key board to practice on at home.
