It is my goal that, regardless of what brings a student to piano lessons, each has fun with the experience and leaves with a new appreciation for music. From the beginning, I work with students and their families to establish attainable goals to help focus the instruction. I tailor the lessons to each student’s goals and abilities to ensure they have the most positive, enjoyable experience while gaining essential skills that will support them throughout life. When talent is discovered, I seek new opportunities for the student to advance in skill and grow into his or her potential. Students are consistently challenged to aim high but never forced to excel beyond their own interests or desires.

Dr. Low is truly fantastic! My son has been taking lessons from him for 16 months and he is flying through the books. His progress is remarkable and I love listening to him practice!
My son can be a challenge to teach. He has an anxiety, ADHD, and an autism diagnosis, but he is high functioning. His interest in music has been such a fantastic outlet for him and he is soaring! Dr. Low embraces his unique abilities & interest and caters each lesson to his needs. Hes understanding, patient, and all the things I would ask for in a teacher for him.
Dr. Low allows his students be involved in more than weekly lessons also if they desire. Its optional, but my son has elected to participate in additional recitals and exams to earn rewards (ribbons, trophy, etc.). Dr. Low assists in setting these up and without any additional pressure.
Not only is Dr. Low a great teacher (to a variety of learners in my opinion), but he is also very organized. He makes it easy on the parents. Each lesson Dr. Low prints out the pieces/skills for my son to practice and is very responsive to texts/emails. As a busy parent, Dr. Low is one person I feel I do not need to ever check-up on. We feel truly lucky to have found him. I would recommend him to anyone without hesitation.

I really enjoyed taking lessons with Dr. Low. He is incredibly meticulous and dedicated, tailoring his lesson plans to each student. He has helped me improve my piano technique tremendously and enriched my understanding of musical history. During my preparation for competitions, Dr. Low is extremely supportive — offering extra lessons, tips, and overall encouragement throughout the entire process. I have known Dr. Low for many years, beginning when he was a high school student in the choir I conducted. Now he is a mentor to me as a pianist and teacher. Dr. Low is very knowledgeable of all things related to teaching piano: repertoire, technique, student achievement and communication. He is articulate, pleasant and inspiring. Our two children have taken lessons with Dr. Low for 3 years after starting piano with another teacher. We are thrilled to have found him! Dr. Low is patient and encouraging while teaching piano technique and musical concepts. He offers his students choice and is attune to what methods work well for the individual student all while gently pushing them with high expectations.
