Welcome and thanks for checking me out! I have been teaching privately for over 20 years and love sharing my passions of music with others. I have taught all ages and varying degree of students, from three years old to adults of any age.
My students have gone on to further their studies in college, write their own music, and find ways to make music a part of their life while sharing it with others.
I hold a masters degree in music performance from the University of Illinois, and have spent the previous five years as a free-lance musician in the Chicago area, performing all types of music from orchestral, to musicals, to writing and performing my own music before moving to the Omaha area.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I prefer to see what their learning process is and decide on an appropriate curriculum for their age and learning speed moving forward.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelors and Masters in Music Performance and fifteen years teaching privately or in the public schools.

How did you get started teaching?
I started in high school when a few parents and friends started asking if I could teach themselves or their kids and I have enjoyed and continued teaching ever since, even in college.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have taught most types of students, including young (that understand their numbers 1-10, and the first seven ,enters of their alphabet), adults in their seventies whether they've taken lessons before and are returning finally or just starting out, middle school/high school students either looking to get started or need piano lessons/trombone lessons to get ready for college etc, and students with learning disabilities like Autism, etc.
