From age 11 I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I love seeing things "click" and having students inspired to express themselves. Just recently I had a parent text me this, "I think lessons with you is one of the most beneficial things my child has ever done in terms of building confidence, lifting spirits, and improving her outlook!" This is what fulfillment is for me; seeing and hearing that people are succeeding and expressing themselves. I also very much enjoy the science, anatomy and physiology of singing. I am able to convey what is happening mechanically to help students achieve their vocal goals. You could say I'm a total voice nerd.
I loved that Jessie pushed me to take risks and believe in myself. I made HUGE leaps in the short time I worked with her. Thanks, Jessie!
From the very first lesson, when I was doing things I didn’t know I could do, I knew I had found something good. And it’s only gotten better from there. My voice has gotten notably stronger, my registration has changed (in ways that help me get closer to my goals), and I’ve received training in a diverse array of styles and techniques. She has an excellent ear for picking up what I’m doing wrong (or well, when the case) and her solid knowledge of vocal anatomy really resonates with my scientifically inclined personality and helps me improve my technique. I definitely give two thumbs up--three, if I had that many.
Jessie is a fantastic vocal coach who really knows her stuff and is not afraid to push her students out of their comfort zones. Believe me. Not to mention she’s always willing to tackle something new with a student. Working with her has made me a more confident and versatile singer and I trust she’ll have me more than prepared for college auditions given where we are now.

I knew I wanted to be a teacher since 5th grade. From age 3 I studied music; violin, french horn, trombone, bass, piano, voice and dance. I loved every moment of my music education and strive to be the teacher that I always wanted.
I work with all types of students. Please see my resume and testamonials for more information.
Just today a student of mine sang a solo, for the first time. I'm so very glad I was there for her and that she fulfilled on her goal to sing for the audience.
Look for someone who is studied and practiced; someone who understands vocal anatomy and physiology and is able to help you grow your voice without any adverse effects. Also look for someone who you can connect with and respects your musical goals.
What are your goals?
What do you notice is holding you back vocally or personally from reaching your musical goals?
What do you want to create and will this teacher assist in that process?
