A New York Vocal Coaching Teacher Training graduate, Jessie is a vocal technician coached by the best in the business. Jessie continues to seek out education that will provide her students an exceptional place to learn and grow as musicians, performers, and people. Jessie specializes in healthy vocalization including pop and broadway BELT. If you are interested in expanding your instrument into these or any other genera, please contact Jessie, you will not be disappointed.

A teacher of Grammy Nominees, The Voice competitors, State Honors Choir Singers, countless musical theatre, operetta, and opera performers and former performer herself, Jessie promises to facilitate lessons that make a difference for singers of all styles, ages, and genera. Jessie is also a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, Minnesota Music Teachers Association, The Voice Foundation, and Minnesota River Valley Music Teachers Association. Midwest Vocal Academy and these associations provide over ten performance and competition opportunities per year for students of MVA.

From age 11 I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I love seeing things "click" and having students inspired to express themselves. Just recently I had a parent text me this, "I think lessons with you is one of the most beneficial things my child has ever done in terms of building confidence, lifting spirits, and improving her outlook!" This is what fulfillment is for me; seeing and hearing that people are succeeding and expressing themselves. I also very much enjoy the science, anatomy and physiology of singing. I am able to convey what is happening mechanically to help students achieve their vocal goals. You could say I'm a total voice nerd.

They react to your message and leave meaningful information for you to digest and than make your decision.

  • Nancy Childers

It was easy finding a teacher, and I feel like I got the perfect fit.

  • Rogelio Carrillo

Despite being very shy and having no experience whatsoever with singing, she's been very patient and understanding with me and does really well at explaining things and even understanding anything that I myself may have trouble trying to describe

  • Regina Noel Downing is with Jessie Rolfe.

Best vocal pedagogy all the way from NYC! Not to mention - Jessie is both personable and professional.

What types of students have you worked with?

I work with singers, pianists, singer/songwriters, producers, and teachers age 5-105! Please see my resume and testamonials for more information.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Just today a student of mine sang a solo, for the first time. I'm so very glad I was there for her and that she fulfilled on her goal to sing for the audience.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Look for someone who is studied and practiced; someone who understands vocal anatomy and physiology and is able to help you grow your voice without any adverse effects. Also look for someone who you can connect with and respects your musical goals.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

What are your goals?

What do you notice is holding you back vocally or personally from reaching your musical goals?

What do you want to create and will this teacher assist in that process?
