I have been learning 20th century techniques is electronic sound art as well as a traditional classical education. I am completing my bachelors in composition from St. Cloud university this fall and will be going to Berkeley online school of composition immediately the following year.I will be Persuing a doctorates degree in film scoring and sound design.
I have been composing music for over ten years at this point and have knowledge in many different styles. I also play percussion, piano, and guitar as tools for my composition.
I love music so much and I want to spread that same joy for music in everyone of my students.
I enjoy seeing the process week to week as students learn more and more. Music is all about foundation and to watch things click and a super special.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Once I start with a new student we examine overall skill level with some tiny exercises and for composition we start with what kind of music inspires you. We jump from there and achieve what we’re merely once dreams.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was working on a performance degree at North Hennipen for 3 years and St. Cloud state university for theory and composition for 4 months years as well.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard system is 30/half hour and 60/hour. This makes easy for all parties.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching as a private lessons teacher taking on students here and there around 2015. I was able to rise through the ranks at Foley high school where I began as a volunteer teacher but was the promoted to director by the end of my first year there in 2018.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from the ages 6-30 and have plenty experience of teaching middle school to high school aged students.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
You have to identify what you want out of your music lessons. Different people can offer different things, so communicating what you want is very important.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
The most important is what kind of music you'd like to learn. Having a foundation on what you like will only help your journey.
