Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I have a tried and true formula for getting the student playing from the first lesson. But I am sensitive to the child or adult to follow their pace.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a background in dance & music from my younger years. Then at University focused on dance and music. Teaching along the way.I have specialised in violin the last 22 years enrolling in on going training and enrichment thought the Suzuki Violin Method International and in Minnesota. I also teach cello and viola. So that my student can play in ensembles. As well as fiddling.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes $65 per 45 minutes. Minimum lessons per month 2 hours (3-4 hours as advanced) plus Group lessons as students are ready $20 per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
My mother was a public school teacher. She would ask me to help with her students sometimes. Then as I studied Ballet my instructor allowed me to assist her with the younger students. I also help at church teaching Sunday School.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages up through retired people. However mostly I have worked with 3- 4 year olds through early high school. I love that music is not effected by gender; boys and girls learn the same way and yet everyone is very unique in their learning style.

We were gathered together fiddling and the energy of the students was so wonderful. The fiddle tunes were so much fun.
