I am very patient, friendly, understanding, knowledgeable, respectful, and put forward my best work. I want my students to feel like they can ask questions and not be uncomfortable asking questions, there are no bad questions. I love creating artwork, and I get joy seeing others achieving something that is positive for them.

All drawing and painting methods are designed to have students work through observation of the subject. If your learning to create a still life you will create by actual abservation. if you are drawing a portrait , the student will draw from a model. I teach through demonstration so all students can see my methods start to finish

I have many years of teaching experience at many levels from primary to graduate school and in a variety of subjects. Inaddition to being an artist and art teacher I am also a psychologist which means I understand people and am pretty good at getting to what needs to change, in art and in life. No, I won't be doing therapy I promise, but I do understand that art is a very personal thing, for me it is also spiritual but I don't force that on anyone. I have been a teaching artist here in Minneapolis since 2017. I graduated from the Art Institute International Minnesota with my Applied Science degree in Graphic design. My passions include portrait art and art therapy. Some of my favorite moments are when passion and joy are created through moments of accidental creativity.
