About
I am a really patient teacher with vibrant energy, and always willing to find the best method to teach each of my students according to their own individuality. Although I was trained with the Suzuki Method and the traditional violin school, I also have a passion for current pop, indie, and alternative music. I believe that being creative and combining technical and musical violin lessons with music that we hear every day makes a more enjoyable experience for students and for me!.
I love the curiosity that is required to be a teacher. I believe that every student has a different way to learn, so I feel really passionate about finding the correct strategy. I believe that having a good balance between classical music and the genre of interest of the student is essential for motivation. I am open to suggestions from my students in order to have better experiences.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
It does not matter at what level a new student is, I am thrilled to work with their own interests, personality and learning process.
This is how a first lesson looks like:
-Intro: We introduce each other. We have a good conversation about our interests and aspirations as humans.
-Goal setting: I think it is really important to have a clear idea of the student's goals in regards to their music skills and violin playing.
-Music preference: talking about their favorite music genre allows me to work on music arrangements combining traditional pedagogical repertoire (Suzuki books, Essential Elements for strings) with their favorite tunes.
- Music Assessment: if the student has some experience with the violin, I listen to their playing with an open mind. If the student is a beginner, I make an assessment of their musical instincts on rhythm and pitch.
With all of this new information I can start working on the best plan of action and strategies for the new student, providing them my best service and making sure their goals are accomplished.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Currently, I am a master student of violin performance at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Besides my official education and my experience performing for international audiences and violin professors, I have a Suzuki Philosophy training designed for kids, and I was also a Suzuki student myself during my early stage. On the other hand, My school and Harmony Project KC has trained me with the Hal Leonard guideline of Essential Elements for strings which is a comprehensive string Method for students of all ages. Additionally, violinists at UMKC spend an hour every week hearing each other play and giving constructive feedback, this time is designed for us to become better teachers.
