Dickheads Guitar Lessons

I teach how to improvise in the genres of blues, rock, jazz and R&B. I work best with people that have some traditional piano training. I'll help you move away from written music and noddle around on a keyboard or piano. We discover how anyone can improv alone or in a group ensemble. This is not a system that requires sight reading. Would you like to do open mics, write songs, or understand what is going on when you see a musician on stage? It is not a mystery reserved for a few 'naturally gifted' musicians. There is a form underlying all pop music, and it can be taught.

I've been a manager in the piano business for over thirty years. I've worked alongside major acts, as a sideman and equipment provider. I've played with members of Journey, Steve Miller, Tower, etc.. And been on stage with Jazz greats like Pharoh Sanders and the locals like Lavay Smith. Since my sight reading reading ability is poor I had to figure out playing "by ear." I'd love to pass this along, nothing gives me greater joy that walking up on stage and creating live music. Let me share that with you.
