Voice Lessons Rock
About
I believe my teaching stands out because it is tailored to each student, their learning styles, goals and interests.
I enjoy teaching private lessons because each person is unique and lessons are always different. I find that so interesting. It's like a puzzle, finding the right pieces to help students meet their goals and hopefully have fun doing so.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My process varies depending on the student such as age, goals, type of lesson, etc. Lessons are tailored to meet the needs and interests of each student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently working toward my Master's in performance and vocal pedagogy. I teach a music theory class at SIUE. I have accompanied many groups and individuals and sing professionally, both as a soloist and in two professional choirs.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lessons are typically taught in 30, 45 and 60 minute intervals. I teach in my studio and in- home lessons are also available depending on location.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with a wide variety of students with many different goals. I work with singers in touring rock bands, a top 12 Voice finalist, classical singers, gospel, pop, etc. Piano students are just as diverse. Some are on a more traditional path, some are interested in playing keys in their band or church, some want to play for fun and personal enrichment. All goals of all students are important and relevant.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Always be honest with your teacher or potential teacher. Ask any question you perceive as relevant and important. I want to know your goals and expectations. The same holds true after becoming your teacher. I believe communication is key.
