I'm originally from Seattle and have my BA in music from the University of Puget Sound. I'm a master teacher and have been teaching for over 30 years. My students participate in recitals, festivals and competitions, and have done very well. I'm in charge of the Gateway Piano Festival in Saint Louis, and encourage everyone to participate. If you are interested in setting up a free trial lesson, text me at (206) 852-7185. I love seeing students enjoy music, make progress and develop a sense of accomplishment.

We were so fortunate to have had Ms. Foster as our daughter’s piano teacher for four years. Under her guidance, our daughter has grown tremendously not only as a pianist but as a musician. Ms.Foster has an incredible talent for teaching, blending technical skill with music theory in a way that has been engaging and empowering for our daughter.
She provided a strong foundation in music theory, which has given our daughter a deep understanding of the music she plays in all music endeavors she engages in. Ms.Foster also emphasizes the importance of musical expression, helping develop her students’ own style and confidence. We’re so grateful for Ms.Foster’s patience, expertise, and encouragement—qualities that make her truly an exceptional teacher.

Ms. Foster had my 12-year-old piano newbie sounding like he had been taking lessons for years in just a few months. She was excellent at finding music that fit his skills and matched his interests.
    Thank you!

Ive been lucky enough to have Ms. Foster as a piano teacher for a few years, and I cant say enough great things about her. She is patient, inspiring, and has a true passion for teaching piano, which shows during her lessons. I always leave her lessons feeling encouraged, motivated, and excited to continue my piano journey.
Recently, I enrolled my daughter (6) in lessons with Ms. Foster as well, and Im amazed at my daughters progress in just a few short months. My daughter has discovered a love of music, and gained so much self-confidence, which has done wonders for other areas of her life.

She is patient, engaging, and encouraging. She instills self discipline in her students and holds them accountable for practicing. She also builds students confidence and pushes them to reach their potential. My daughter had her first piano recital in December and she did wonderful! I am so impressed with the progress she is making with Ms. Fosters program!
