About

I love playing and teaching many styles of music, from classical to jazz to fiddle. If you are a current or aspiring violinist or violist interested in exploring a variety of ways to make music, I just might be the teacher for you! I have been teaching string players everything from Bach to blues to fiddle tunes since 2008. I have a Bachlors in Music in Jazz Performance on violin from Webster University.

    Frequently asked questions

All types! Students ages 6 to 86, students playing for fun and students preparing to major in music in college, students with physical and learning disabilities. I do my best to meet each student where they are and adapt my lesson plan to each students' needs and interests.

Why do you want to play the violin or viola? Do you love the sound? Do you want to make music with others? Would you like to play in an orchestra or band? There's no one right or wrong answer, but if you can remember why you want to play an instrument, it can help keep you motivated during the challenging parts.
