About
I have been both a teacher and a cook all of my adult life. I love to bring recipes to life, each one tells a story. Some feel like holiday traditions, some are memories of family, some are adventures in new cuisine, and some are comfort food favorites. The fun is in putting your own spin on each recipe! I will help you to learn a new recipe of your choice, savory or sweet. I'll teach you how to feel confident enough to add your own touches to the recipe. I'll guide you through the cooking process online or in my home kitchen. From start to finish we will create a masterpiece you'll be prud to share with the ones you love!
Cooking has always been a labor of love for me. From my famous creme puff recipe, to my homeade salad dressings, I've loved bringing people together and creating some happiness. Eating is fun! It has also been my way to give back to my friends, family, and community. I have volunteered my time to cook in homeless shelters, friend's weddings, church events, or to just bring a dinner to a friend in need. Cooking and baking aren't just for making yummy things to eat, they are a way to make people feel loved and cared for.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My rates are per recipe. I charge $25 per recipe if you bring your own ingredients. $35 per recipe if you prefer that I gather the ingredients (price may vary depending upon ingredients).
I can do private or small group classes. My small group rate would be $20 per person, per recipe if you bring your own ingredients. If you would like me to provide the ingredients then prices may vary.
I accept Venmo or cash.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all levels and ages of students. I've taught group classes to teenagers with no experience in the kitchen. I've taught adults who may feel comfortable with cooking, but don't feel that baking is a strength, and vice versa. I've taught my own kids, my friends, beginner, intermediate, and advanced. I can meet you where you are at.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Before we meet I'd love to chat and find out how comfortable you are in the kitchen, what your skill level is. I'd also like to discuss whether this would be a one time class or if you see lessons as ongoing. Finding a few minutes to chat via phone would be best to see how I can help fit your needs.
