Dorsett Piano Studio

I teach in my home studio and also in a local school of music. Each student is taught the basics of music reading, and how to interpret the dynamic marks, tempo markings, and other music words the composer used to indicate how the music is to be performed. We use computer studies to enhance the study of all music.

I enjoy leading young people as well as adults to enjoy creating music that is pleasing to them, as well as those around them. I have many former students who have become teachers, performers; they also enjoy listening to others more because they are aware of what the music is conveying to the listener.

I have taught in three states, several colleges, as well as my home studio. I have performed for all sorts of events, particularly as an accompanist and as a church organist/pianist. I love "making music".
