About
With multiple years of experience, I can help you to reach any music goals you may have. With me, you will learn the fundamentals of either viola or violin in a fun and organized manner! My students have been accepted to prestigeous programs and orchestras around the country. I can tailor lessons based on your taste. Whether you favor pop, classical, or some combination, we can study music in a way that ignites a passion that will never leave you.
I love seeing the journey of my students. How students can begin from scratch and florish into a dedicated musician and music lover. I also love building a good rapport with my students.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We will begin by building a good foundation with technique (learning how to hold the instrument, learning music theory and how to read music, etc.).
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned a Bachelor of Music Education from East Carolina University. After graduating, I took an elementary orchestra job where I taught for 4 years. At the same time, I taught at Davidson Violins, teaching private lessons to over 50 students during the course of 4 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard rates are 25 dollars for 30 minutes, 40 dollars for 45 minutes, and 50 dollars for 60 minutes.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching after graduating from my teacher training program at East Carolina University in 2018.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from all ages and backgrounds. I have taught students as young as four years old and some as old as seventy years old.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am fond of a programmed event where a local string chamber group performed an original piece that I composed.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I think that you should pick a teacher based on how well you can connect with them. If you feel that you cannot connect with your teacher, the learning will be difficult to happen!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Is this teacher willing to listen to me and work with me to acheive my goal?
