Hi! My name is Sherry Blevins and I’ve been teaching since 1992. I have a master’s degree in music education and I LOVE to teach. My favorite part of teaching is getting to know my students including their personal goals, learning, styles, and what about music making makes them happy. Music is fun! So lessons should be too! I love beginners as much as the advanced student. All ages welcome.
I am a published composer. I’ve also performed frequently, but teaching is my first love.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Contact me and receive a trial lesson for free! Once you decide you’d like to continue, I will present you with options for payment and we will choose a lesson time that suits you.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a master’s degree in music education. I have a North Carolina Masters Teaching License for K-12 music.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
i offer lessons once per week for either a half hour, 45 minutes, or a full hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching private lessons to supplement my teaching income when i taught in public schools.
What types of students have you worked with?
I’ve worked with ages 5 to 68 beginners to advanced.
