About this pro

I believe that every student needs an individualized approach to music education. This is one of my favorite aspects of teaching lessons. I get to spend an incredible amount of time working one on one with musicians to help them learn, grow, and succeed on their instrument.

I have not an ounce of musical ability, but I can recognize passion and talent when I see it. This program is 10/10. I would recommend it to anyone who is thinking about having musically inclined children.

We love Mrs. Blanton and the Raleigh Music Collective. She creatively pushes the kids to excel. She raises the bar and allows the kids to have fun while rising up. It's a lovely and fun program!

  • Anna Wexler ( mother of 3 violinists)

Sara Maria is a joyful, energetic teacher who expects her students to give their best while encouraging the best out of them. I can’t imagine a better combination!

  • Stella, violinist 11

I really love how the lessons are planned along with Squad Saturdays. Ms. Sara Maria is super energetic and cheers me on when I’m working on a challenging piece.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Bachelors in Music Education and Violin Performance

Bornoff Level I Certified

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

During the summer, students can buy a pack of lessons and during the school year, parents pay a set monthly price.

How did you get started teaching?

I became a teacher because an incredible teacher offered myself and my six siblings free string lessons in exchange for meals that my mom made becasue we were unable to afford lessons.

What types of students have you worked with?

I work with beginner to advanced violin and viola students of all ages and beginner to intermediate cello students. Once a cello student advances enough, I pass them off to a collegue of mine.
