About this pro

Hi! My name is Jenny Chen. I am an experienced piano teacher with a master’s degree in music and have been teaching for over 30 years. I am an active member of both Nebraska and National Music Teachers Associations. I was a former piano instructor at Yamaha Company, and I am good at teaching younger children.

I help my students thrive in playing the piano as well as understanding the theory behind the music.  I teach students of all ages and levels, and since everyone is different, I customize the repertoire to meet each individual's goals.  I teach primarily classical music with some pop and jazz music as well. Here is one of the works that I put on Youtube.

I offer the option for parents to sit in during the lessons so they can learn at the same time. I believe parents are the best assistants at home.

If you are interested, please call me to set up a free lesson.

My phone # is 402-570-4488 and my address is 4331 Eagle Ridge Road Lincoln, NE 68516.  My email address is [email protected]

I am a very patient teacher and I enjoy teaching all ages!

Very experienced in private piano teaching! Have various strategies towards students of different age. I would recommend my friends to try her classes if they are learning piano.

Teacher Jenny Chen is very professional, enthusiastic, responsible, and successful. She has many many years of piano teaching experience, including that at Yamaha Japan. She gets along with kids very well and her way of teaching makes piano easy and joyful. Highly recommend!

Jenny works around kids' needs and levels, and provide help to parents for at-home practices. We transferred from another instructor to Jenny more than one year ago. Since then, my son has made a great progress!!!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Due to the Coronavirus, I use Zoom to teach students. I use two cameras, so the student can see my hands on the keyboard and my face when I am talking.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Master's degree in music, and I have been teaching piano for over 30 years.
