Priscilla Kliewer Music Studio, Inc.
About
I love teaching children and adults of all ages and abilities, and delight in discovering their learning styles. I want each person to feel successful in learning, and each one to feel affirmed. I enjoy using the sense of humor appropriate for the age of the student. I believe that every student can learn to play, and can learn the skill of playing with ease. It's delightful to figure out how to lead the student to discovery, and how to help the student understand a concept, and grow in understanding and skill.
My education includes Master of Music, UN-L, piano major along with graduate organ studies; Bachelor of Sacred Music, Grace University, Omaha, organ major; Suzuki Teacher Training, all 7 volumes of Suzuki Piano School, and Volume 1 of Suzuki Flute School. Also training in Conscious Coordination at the Piano. I am a member of Music Teachers National Association along with the state and local affiliate associations, as well as the Suzuki Association of the Americas.
I have been teaching piano for 40+ years, and have been a church musician since adolescence. In my studio, students consistently prepare high-quality performances, learn the logic of how music works, and can learn how to practice efficiently. They can also learn how to self-direct an ensemble performance. My goal is to teach musical excellence and muscle ease, in a loving atmosphere.
