Four Pegs and Rosin Dust Studio is a learning environment where there is a step by step method into becoming a competent musician. I know I can help you accomplish your goals in your playing ability through the Suzuki pedagogy. Your instrument is a vehicle to help you find your authentic self. You will discover inside of you many strengths that come forward when you learn an instrument. I go with you on this journey. Music is a powerful tool that can transform us into our real abilities and attributes.

What I have done, you can do. Let us begin this journey together and accomplish all of your goals.

Accomplishments:

I am a member of Suzuki Association of America, MENC, UMEA, and ASTA

I have performed hundreds of concerts throughout the west. Ten symphonies, Five Chamber Groups, Four Choirs, 3 solo/duet CD's, 10 Recitals, High Desert Duo, YoMama's, Noble Strings, 100 weddings, 50 church performances.

I graduated from Arizona State University, Bachelors' in Music, Western New Mexico University, Masters in Counseling, Suzuki Pedagogy Training in Violin, Cello both workshop and long distance training with Bill Starr, John Kendall, Tanya Carey, Yvonne Tait, Taki Atsumi, and Rick Mooney.

I have been in master classes with Rostropovitch, Ma, Piatagorsky, Casals, Varga, and Starker.

I am in my 40th year of teaching strings.

I have taught school for 29 years including Mesa Schools, St Johns Schools, Thatcher Schools and Washington County Schools

Subjects I have taught are guitar, orchestra, musical theater, choir, and counseling

I have been adjunct to Northland Pioneer College, Eastern Arizona College, Southern Utah University, and Dixie College as a cello/string teacher.

I have served on the Arizona Cello Society Board, Arizona High School Association Board, been department head many times, been director for Honor's Orchestra both in Utah and Arizona, and written accreditation profiles three times as well as served as a team leader in three accreditation counsels.

I am the mother of six children, and 15 grandchildren.

I am married to G. Stephen Keith for 40 years.

I have taught over 6000 students in a school setting and over 1000 students in Studio
