About

Learn to play drums and percussion in a welcoming atmosphere with an experienced instructor! Michael Winnicki has been teaching private lessons for 5+ years in the NJ/NYC area with a goal to make each student play the music they love. Students are exposed to a variety of musical styles while developing a strong technical background.

I enjoy seeing students progress and develop a love for music. It's always a great to watch my students play along to music and seeing the feeling of satisfaction completing a song can bring.

Mike is a great drum teacher. He is very good at what he does. If you dont understand how to do something he takes the time to help you understand it better. He teaches things from drum set, to snare techniques, to rudiments and also teaches his students a lot of different songs, which is a ton of fun. Also, he tries to work with your schedule as best as possible. He is very chill and is overall a great drum teacher. I would definitely recommend him!

I come from a family of music teachers, and once I became experienced enough I was eager to start sharing my knowledge. In high school I started out teaching friends' younger siblings after school.

I have worked with students from age 4-65, and I customize lessons for each students' abilities.

I recently got one of my very young students to play along to Led Zeppelin's When the Levee Breaks, playing exactly what John Bonham was playing, and reading sheet music of the song.
