About

I've been practicing self defense for more than 10 years plus. Got my base from Goju Ryu and shito Ryu karate. Then steadily began to adapt grappling for self-defense purposes. And boxing for stand up and striking. I like to surround my method of self-defense with techniques anybody can practice and apply in real life situations. My curriculum is based around leverage and adaptability. Come try a class with me soon.

The quality of possibilities from a student gives me a great incentive to continue on with the journey of teaching and to learn more about the art of self defense. Also providing that the student is enthused to keep up with their training at home and detailing tailored made approaches with me is a motivation in itself. I like quality feedback and give what is essentially there for the student while sharpening other needed aspects in their self defense journey.

Frequently asked questions

With every student I like to start them from the basics to the more advance curriculum. A quick assessment of their former training if any to speed up the process in their training. And I will ask if they prefer any focused based instructions concerning them.
I've trained and competed in Shotokan Karate tournaments using the Shito Ryu and Goju Ryu style. Sparring in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at academy in the Bronx and freestyle boxing sparring match ups.
A fee of $20 per hour is standard fees for basic boxing and grappling leaning towards self defense. And $30 per hour for weapons training plus boxing and grappling.
It came natural to me to teach once I studied from different arts of self defense. I thought if I needed it at one point then those who are willing to learn will surely need coaching and training protocols.
From the ground up. I've trained athletic types and none athletic types. The purpose of the system is to develop the beginner or experienced person for self defense purposes and not so much for competitions or tournaments but you can use the curriculum to eventually compete in a tournament if you so do desire.
I would advice a student to look for a teacher who can teach what the student is looking for. Particular in a set of skills and tools that one can use to develop a sense of confidence. An appropriate challenge for the student to develop their skills for self defense purposes.
Be sincere. No question should be too small or too big to ask.
